物种特征:描述:中等体型(30厘米,尾长达十多厘米)的绿鸠。修长的针形中央尾羽为本种识别特征。雄鸟:尾下覆羽黄褐,胸淡沾橘黄。雌鸟:胸浅绿,尾下覆羽白色并具深色纵纹。 虹膜-红色;嘴-绿色,基部青绿色;脚-绯红。 叫声:二重唱。一鸟发出轻柔的cuc-coo声,第二鸟接以较高音的huu,重复且越来越快。也发出低吟。 分布范围:喜马拉雅山脉至东南亚。 分布状况:罕见留鸟。指名亚种于云南西部及西南部、四川西南部和西藏东南部;laotinus于云南西双版纳及澜沧江以东地区。 习性:栖于海拔600~1800米的常绿林。常结小群进食。具典型的本属特性。
