From the point view of the second-law-based thermoeconomics,the thermoeconomic performance analysis of a sensible heat storage process is presented and an index which is defined as the net profit per unit stored thermal energy is proposed and applied in the thermoeconomic performance evaluation of thermal energy storage process.
