形态特征子实体小。初期锣槌状，内包被褐色，灰褐色以及灰白色，球形、扁球形，直径1.2-2.2cm，高0.6-2cm，后期顶部不规则状或星状开裂，外包被薄，常与沙粘在一起，开裂后脱落，在内包被基部留下衣领状的“菌环”，柄圆柱形，高6-11cm，中部渐细，近白色，有纵向皱褶数条，柄基部有外包被残留的扁球形的“菌托”和“根”一至数条。产孢体褚石色到褐色，孢子球形或宽椭圆形，光滑，褐色，4.5-6μm×3-4.5μm。孢丝短，薄壁，长短不一，有短分枝，末端圆，常弯曲成弹丝，无横隔，褐色。
