| 富勒烯 Fullerene，Fullerite C60和C70的混合物。一类崭新的碳素多面体原子簇，其结构如图所示。人们很早就观察到宇宙星际间碳原子簇的存在，但对其化学键的性质及其结构却一直不太清楚。1984年科学家利用激光汽化-氦脉冲膨胀法得到的碳原子簇可达180个碳原子。1990年法国物理学家和美国物理学家宣布成功并能常量的制备和分离出C60和C70。这一结果轰动了物理及化学界。各国的科学家，包括中国的科学家投入了这一崭新的研究领域。这类碳原子簇被认为是金刚石、石墨石的第三碳素形态。1985年英国科学家就提出了这类原子簇是一种封闭而中空的稠环芳香碳素体。C60具有球形削角20面体结构，这一结构包括20个六边形及12个五边形相互连接构成。60个碳原子处于各顶角。1990年成功地分离了C60及C70。
