In order to overcome the supporting difficulty in soft rock main roadway,the supporting technique was reformed and good benefit was achieved.

According to the failure mechanism,the analysis of supporting in soft-rock roadway and,the concept of initiative supporting,the authors have make a theoretical analysis of the technologically and economically effective practice with bolt-grouting reinforcement at-420m main return way on East-Four mining area in Pansan Colliery.

Combining on-the-spot actual measurement with numerical calculation,the authors have discussed the deformation laws and failure features of floor lift in soft-rock roadway,which would help to solve the problem of soft-rock roadway supporting.
