性质:根据测定仪器和方法的误差与对测定数据精确度的要求,对实际测定数据的位数进行舍、入所依据的原则。现在采用“四舍六入五单双”的修约准则,即有效数字后面的第一位为4,则舍去;若为6,则在前一位进1;若恰为5,而5之后的数字不全为0,则在5的前一位进1。若5之后全为0,而5之前的一位数字为奇数,则在5的前一位进1;5之前的一位数字为偶数,则舍去不计。所拟舍弃的数字为二位以上数字时,不得连续进行多次修约,应根据所拟舍弃数字中左边第一个数字的大小按修约规则一次修约得出结果。该修约准则的优点是保持了进舍项数平衡性与进舍误差的平衡性。
