Lanthanide perchlorate complexes with the ligand N, N'-dimethyl-N, N'-diphenyl-3, 6-dioxaoctane diamide(L) have been prepared in non-aqueous media and they can be expressed with the general formula [Ln(L)2(H2O)n] (ClO4)3(for Ln=La, Pr, Nd, Sm, n=2; for Ln=Eu, Tb, n=1) in all the complexes, the ligand shows quadridentate behavior.
