(术语)一摄律仪戒。受持五八十具等一切之戒律者。二摄善法戒。以修一切善法为戒者。三摄众生戒。又云饶益有情戒。以饶益一切众生为戒者。是华严梵网占察璎珞等经,瑜伽唯识等论所说。此三者积聚,故云三聚。戒有大小,十戒二百五十戒等为小乘戒,十重四十八轻戒三聚戒等为大乘戒。又有在家出家之别。五戒八戒为在家戒,十戒二百五十戒为出家,三聚戒。为道俗通行戒。即大乘之菩萨无论出家在家,皆受之也但在家之菩萨,凡受此三聚以为心者,谓之通受。出家之菩萨,其初别受摄律仪戒,即二百五十戒及十重等(摄律仪之中有一切大小之戒),是名别受。次乃总受之三聚也。此通受之有二种:一者从他得,唯对于师而得。二者自誓得,唯于佛像前以善心自誓而得。皆不要白四羯磨之作法也。唯识论九曰:“戒学有三:一律仪戒,谓正远离所应离法。二摄善法戒,谓正证应修证法。三饶益有情戒,谓正利乐一切有情。”
