【性状】
本品为肠溶片，除去包衣后显白色。
【鉴别】
(1) 取本品的细粉，加甲醇制成每1ml 中含甲砜霉素10mg的溶液，滤过 ，滤液照甲砜霉素项下的鉴别(1) 项试验，显相同的结果。 (2) 取本品的细粉适量（约相当于甲砜霉素50mg），加乙醇制氢氧化钾试液2ml 使 溶解，防止乙醇挥散，在水浴中加热15分钟，滤液显氯化物的鉴别反应（附录Ⅲ）。
【检查】
应符合片剂项下有关的各项规定（附录Ⅰ A）。
【含量测定】
取本品5片，全部研细，加乙醇适量（按甲砜霉素每0.25g加乙醇25ml） 研磨，使溶解，精密量取适量（约相当于甲砜霉素0.3g），照甲砜霉素项下的方法测定。
