为豆科植物甘肃棘豆的全草。
【植物形态】
甘肃棘豆 多年生草本，高15～20厘米。基部有分枝，疏生白色长柔毛，间有黑色短柔毛。单数羽状复叶，长5～10厘米；叶轴上面具沟，密生白色间黑色长柔毛；托叶卵状披针形，基部连合，与叶柄分离；小叶13～25，卵状矩圆形至披针形，长8～13毫米，宽4～6毫米，先端渐尖，基部圆形，两面有密长柔毛。总状花序近头状，腋生；总花梗长5.5～15厘米，有白色间黑色长柔毛；花萼钟状，长约9毫米，宽约3毫米，密生黑色间有白色长柔毛，萼齿条形，与筒部近等长；花冠黄色，长约12毫米。荚果长椭圆形或矩圆状卵形，长8～12毫米，膨胀，密生黑色长柔毛。 生于干燥草原、山坡、河边或林下。分布甘肃、青海、四川、云南等地。

7～8月采，切段，晒干。

微辛，温。
【归经】
入心、肺、小肠经。
【功用主治】
解毒医疮，止血利尿。治各种内出血。
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，2～5钱。
