【来源】
为胡椒科植物荨麻叶胡椒的全株。
【植物形态】
荨麻叶胡椒，又名：苧叶山药。 攀援藤本。全体生不显著的短毛。单叶互生或对生，叶片卵圆形，长10～15厘米，宽4～9厘米，全缘或浅波状，基部歪斜，不对称。花小，为稠密细圆柱状的穗状花序。小浆果，不开裂，排列成稠密圆柱状的穗状体。 生于亚热带山野疏林中。分布云南、广西等地。
【采集】
秋、冬采收。洗净切碎晒干。
【性味】
《云南中草药》："辛，温。"
【功用主治】
①《云南中草药》："舒筋活络，温经利湿，行气止痛。治风湿，月经不调，胃痛，跌打损伤。" ②《云南思茅中草药选》："治流感，感冒，痛经。"
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，5～8钱；或浸酒。外用：捣敷。
