燕山山脉主峰。最高点玉皇顶海拔2116米。位于河北省兴隆县境西北部。雾灵山于燕山运动时隆起,由燕山期侵入的中深成碱性正长岩构成,周围为震旦纪白云岩、侏罗纪砂页岩、 砾岩和石炭纪、 二叠纪、寒武纪、奥陶纪灰岩。山体切割强烈,坡度陡。气候、土壤、植物垂直分带明显。年均温约8℃,7月最高温不超过22℃,年降水量500~600毫米,湿度大,终日云雾缭绕,故名雾灵山。从山上到山下一日可度四季。雾灵山为滦河和海河两大流域的分水岭的组成部分,汛期流水瀑布最为壮观。松、栎、云杉、桦树林下灌木丛生,植被覆盖度达90%,具有华北区系代表性植物及多种珍贵动物,为河北省自然保护区和天然风景区(见雾灵山自然保护区)。
