硅酸是不溶于水的二元弱酸,可用na2sio3溶液和盐酸反应生成硅酸。当盐酸和na2sio3溶液起反应时生成白色胶状沉淀,

这种白色胶状物沉淀叫做原硅酸,

通常用h4sio4来表示它的组成,但原硅酸不稳定,在空气里干燥,失去一部分水后,变成白色粉末,这种物质就是硅酸,可用h2sio3表示。
