在研究紫金山铜金矿田地质特征的基础上,通过对矿田内各类地质体的重力、航磁、遥感等地球物理特征和微量元素地球化学特征的研究, 建立了矿田的地质-地球物理-地球化学找矿模型。

南京紫金山观光索道 全长2350米，游人坐在吊椅上，悬浮在林海松涛之上，美丽如画的山水和古城建设新貌忽隐忽现。观光索道串联起地堡城、天文台、天堡城、头陀岭、永慕庐等十余个景点，星星点点的秋色吊椅成为装点山色的一道流动的风景。紫金山索道建成于1993年底，全长2350米， 每小时可安全运送乘客千人，是我国目前最长的 单循环吊椅式登山索道。它起自钟山西麓地堡城， 途经苍茫林海，穿透流云烟岚，乘客只需花上半 个小时即可抵达海拔425米的山顶头陀岭景区。 游人可乘中山陵园景区内旅游专线车抵达索 道起点站，下车后循“紫金山索道”牌坊登上台 阶，然后就可以在工作人员协助下乘上双人座吊 椅，宛如飞人般从苍茫林海上怡然而过。在半空 中看天文台的银顶、时孝陵的红墙、紫霞湖的碧 波、松涛中的灵谷塔、薄雾下的中山陵，别有一番情致。到了终点，则是另一番风景的开始：头 陀领与永慕庐两大景区的10余个景点正从千百年 的历史烟尘中走出，迎接刚经过空中旅行的现代 游客，真正是无限风光在顶.
