The corner cracks of 150 mm by 150 mm continuous casting slabs were analyzed by way of examining the macro-structures, inclusions and metallographic structures of testing sample and it was found that the primary cause to the corner cracking is seriously inhomogeneous cooling conditions, which lead to stress concentration in the corner part of the slab, thus the corner cracking occurs in the slab.
针对 15 0mm× 15 0mm连铸坯的角部纵向开裂 ,从低倍、夹杂、金相组织方面进行分析 ,发现产生角部开裂的主要原因是严重冷却不均 ,从而造成角部应力集中 ,导致连铸坯角部纵向开裂 ,并提出改进措施。

由于方坯角部纵裂漏钢事故频繁,通过分析漏钢的特点和机理,认为造成小方坯角部纵裂漏钢的主要原因是结晶器倒锥度小、结晶器液面波动及中间包过热度大、结晶器冷却水质差。
