西晋文学家、书法家陆机所书的一封信牍。系中国现存最古的一件名人墨迹。陆机(261～303)字士衡，吴郡(今江苏苏州)人。累官太子洗马，著作郎。此帖纸本，草书，纵23.8厘米，横20.5厘米，内容是对贺循、吴子扬、夏伯荣3人的品评，共9行，无款。书法古拙，用秃笔中锋，转折处很少顿挫。表现出浓厚的隶草风意。本幅前边嵌古签题："晋陆机平复帖"，前黄绢隔水上嵌月白绢签，宋徽宗金书标题"晋陆机平复帖"。信札卷后有明董其昌跋及清溥伟、近人傅增湘等跋。钤唐殷浩印、宋"宣和"、"政和"双龙玉玺及明韩世能、韩逢禧父子、张丑及清梁清标、安岐、成亲王永瑆、载治等鉴藏印。后归张伯驹,捐赠给国家。《东图玄览》、《妮古录》、《清河书画舫》、《真迹二录》、《清河秘箧表》、《南阳法书表》、《式古堂书画汇考》、《大观录》、《墨缘汇观》等书记载。现藏故宫博物院。
