性质:又称原生质体融合(protoplast fusion).使两个遗传性状不同的细胞发生融合,并进而获得杂种细胞的一项生物技术。是一种获得杂交细胞的很好方法。细胞融合不但可在不同种间进行,还可在亲缘关系较远的细胞中实现。所建立的杂交细胞可能含有来自双亲的细胞核和细胞质,亦可能丢失一方亲本的染色体而发生分离。杂交细胞的基因表达具有多样性。融合可以是自发的,但大多数可以诱导发生,某些病毒(如仙台病毒)、聚乙二醇、电场诱导等都可促进细胞融合。例如,淋巴细胞和骨髓瘤细胞融合形成的杂交瘤细胞,既具有淋巴细胞产生抗体的能力,又具有骨髓瘤细胞在体外可长期培养和无限增殖的特征,建立的杂交瘤细胞可永久提供稳定的多克隆或单克隆抗体。原生质体融合也是细胞融合的一种方法。
