性质: 单斜小片状或单斜棱晶状。干燥物熔点106~107℃,沸点185~187℃(13.3Pa):溶于水、乙醇、乙醚。由甲苯用96%~100%H2SO4在75℃进行磺化而得,产物含对甲苯磺酸75%,邻甲苯磺酸19%,间甲苯磺酸6%。用于染料工业、口服抗糖尿病药物的生产。对皮肤和黏膜有高度刺激性,钠盐为斜方多层晶体,水溶性极好。
