荆芥Jingjie （解表，地上部分，唇形科）
拉丁名 HERBA SCHIZONEPETAE
别名 假苏，香荆芥，四棱杆蒿。
来源 为唇形科植物荆芥Schizonepeta tenuifolia Briq.的干燥地上部分。
原植物形态 一年生草本，高60～100cm。具强烈香气，全株被灰白色短柔毛。茎方形，上部多分枝，基部棕紫色。叶对生，羽状深裂，裂片披针形，全缘，背面有腺点。轮伞花序，多轮密集于枝端，形成穗状，花小，花冠浅红紫色，二唇形，雄蕊4，2强。小坚果4，长圆状三棱形，棕褐色，表面光滑。花期7～9月，果期9～11月。
药材性状 为带花穗的茎枝。茎方柱形，上部有分枝，长50～80cm，直径0.2～0.4cm；表面黄绿色或紫棕色，被白色短柔毛；体轻，质脆，折断面纤维状，黄白色。叶对生，多已脱落，叶片3～5羽状分裂，裂片细长。穗状轮伞花序顶生，长2～9cm，直径约0.7cm。花冠多脱落，宿萼黄绿色，钟形，质脆易碎，内有棕黑色小坚果。气芳香，味微涩而辛凉。
生境分布 多栽培，亦有野生。全国大部分地区有栽培。
采收加工 夏末、秋初开花前采割，除去杂质，喷淋清水，洗净，润透，切段，晒干。
性味归经 辛，微温。归肺、肝经。
功能主治 解表散风，透疹。用于感冒，头痛，麻疹，风疹，疮疡初起。荆芥炭治便血，崩漏，产后血晕。
用量用法 煎服，4.5～9g。外用，适量捣敷、研末调敷或煎水洗。
化学成分 含挥发油类、：黄酮类等。
药理作用 有解热、镇静、镇痛、止血、抗炎、祛痰和平喘、抗氧化、抗微生物等作用。
