性质：硅橡胶有热硫化型和室温硫化型两类。前者为弹性态的二甲基硅橡胶或二甲基甲基乙烯基硅橡胶等，后者为半流态的甲基硅橡胶。热硫化型硅橡胶均采用有机过氧化物硫化。常用的有过氧化二异丙苯(DCP)、过氧化二苯甲酰(BPO)或叔丁基异丙基苯过氧化物等。氧化锌用作硫化活性剂。硫化通常分两段进行，预硫化是在加压或常压下进行，温度为150～160℃；后硫化是为了除去过氧化物分解产生的挥发成分，要在常压热空气中(200℃左右)硫化1～4h。为使硫化网络更稳定、物性更好，后硫化的时间可到12h或更长。常温硫化型硅橡胶的硫化剂为二月桂酸二丁基锡和正桂酸乙酯。在常温(23±2)℃下放置24h。
