Condensation of 5 with aromatic aldehydes gave corresponding hydrazones 6, then cyclization of 6 in Ac2O afforded 1,3,4-oxadiazolines 7a~7f.

A series of 1,3,4-oxadiazoline derivatives 3a~3e were obtained from 1,6-dihydro-6-pyridazi-none-3-carbonyl aromatic aldehyde hydrozones 2a~2e by the cyclization with acetic anhydride, and 4-thiazolidinones 4a~4e were also derived from 2a~2e with mercaptoacetic acid in DMF.
