性质:无损检测的一种,多用于发现铁磁材料或零件表面的缺陷。首先对被检工件(铁磁性材料)进行外磁磁化处理,再在其表面上均匀喷洒细微粒磁粉(平均粒度为5~10微米),如果被检工件不存在缺陷,由于导磁率均匀无变化,工件表面上的磁粉是均匀分布的。若在其表面上存在缺陷,会产生的磁阻变化,使缺陷处产生漏磁场,并形成一个小小的N-S磁极,使磁粉在缺陷处形成堆积现象。这种检测的优点是可有效查出铁磁材料的表面缺陷,比其他无损检测方法简单、实用且十分直观,结果可靠。但缺点是无法测出表面以下深埋的缺陷,而且无法检测有色金属、奥氏体钢、非金属以及非导磁材料。
