蝇 Muscidae;house flies 双翅目环裂亚目蝇科昆虫的通称。全世界已知约3000种,中国已知约500余种。该科分若干亚科,其中绝大部分非吸血性,而螫蝇亚科则为吸血性。两类的主要区别在于口器。螫蝇亚科的口器坚直细长如针,静止时向前突出,不能缩入口器窝内,适于刺吸。非吸血性类的口器柔软,静止时能曲折而缩入口器窝内,唇瓣发达,适于舐吸。成虫体中型到大型,灰色、灰黑或具金属光泽,体表被鬃和毛。全变态。卵纺锤形。 成虫生活习性按栖息场所,有住区性、半住区性、亲家畜和野生蝇种。成虫食性极复杂,绝大部分为腐食性和粪食性,如重毫蝇、腐蝇和纹蝇的成虫性喜新鲜粪便和其他腐败的有机物,家蝇的一些种类喜舐吸人畜的伤口,如逐畜家蝇舐吸牛身上被其他昆虫咬伤后流出的血液。成虫一般在幼虫发育场所的腐败物质的表面或浅皮层产卵,有些种类在粪旁的地上、粪的上层或表面产卵。产下的卵常堆成小堆。 蝇种类繁多,分布全世界,其中以家蝇分布最广,数量最多,与人或其他动物接触频繁,是传播伤寒、痢疾、霍乱、鼠疫、炭疽病(家畜)等多种疾病的媒介昆虫;有些蝇类幼虫寄生于人体或其他动物组织内,引起蝇蛆症。某些吸血性种类的成虫刺吸家畜血液,可传播锥虫病等。 |
