54式7.62毫米手枪是我国仿制前苏联tt1930/1933式手枪的产品，于1954年定型，至今仍装备部队，是我国生产和装备量最大的手枪。
54式手枪的自动方式采用枪管短后座式，闭锁方式采用枪管摆动式，保险装置为击锤保险，该枪还设有空仓挂机机构。

尽管大众观点认为，54已落后于时代，但它绝对是一枝世界名枪，杀伤力鲜有出其右者。打穿防弹服的“黑星手枪”之传说更是为其蒙上了一层神秘色彩。
现在它又推出了9毫米的新版本，外观质量有了显著的提高，一点不比新推出的92差！当然，7.62弹改成了9毫米弹以后，该枪著名的穿透性能恐怕会有所下降，但停止作用应该会改善。
该枪一定会焕发出新的生命力！
顺便说一句，不少打过新型92手枪的人对该枪的评价实际上都不咋地，很多人反而对老54念念不忘。老54外观差点，但威力与可靠性真不是盖的……
9年前的《轻兵器》上就有9毫米的介绍，而在北方的出口清单上，该口径的54更是推出多年，而且不止一种！
