具有精密坐标定位装置﹐用于磨削孔距精度要求很高的精密孔和成形表面的磨床。坐标磨床与坐标镗床有相同的结构布局﹐不同的是镗刀主轴换成了高速磨头。磨削时﹐工件固定在能按坐标定位移动的工作台上﹐砂轮除高速自转外还通过行星传动机构作慢速的公转﹐并能作垂直进给运动(见机床)。改变磨头行星运动的半径﹐可实现径向进给。磨头通常采用高频电动磨头或空气透平磨头。坐标磨床除能磨削圆柱孔外﹐还可磨削圆弧内外表面和圆锥孔等﹐主要用于加工淬硬工件﹑冲模和压模等。在磨头上安装插磨附件﹐使砂轮轴线处于水平位置﹐砂轮不作行星运动而只作上下往复运动﹐可进行类似于插削形式的磨削﹐以加工内齿圈﹑分度板和凸轮等。随着数字控制技术的应用﹐坐标磨床已能磨削各种成形表面。
