性质:铅灰色,金属光泽,等轴晶系。晶体有立方体或立方体和八面体的聚合型两种。通常成致密的粒状、块状集合体。性脆。完全解理,顺沿解理打击时容易碎成小立方体。密度7.4~7.6g/cm3。莫氏硬度2~3。常与银、铜、砷、锑、铋、锡的硫化物矿共生。可用于制造金属铅、铅合金、密陀僧、铅丹、铅白和醋酸铅等。冶炼铅时往往可获得银、铋,有时还可得到硒等副产品。
