为禾本科植物箣竹的苗。
【植物形态】
箣竹(赞宁《笋谱》)，又名：竻竹、答黎竹、樆竹、筥竹(《竹谱详录》)，车角竹、大竹、车筒竹、蔴竹、大竻蔴竹、水竻竹、箣楠竹。 高大竹类，秆高10～24米，径5～15厘米，节间长约30厘米，中空甚细。箨环密生棕色刺毛；箨鞘厚革质，矩形或长三角形，背面基部有刺毛；箨耳左右略相等；箨舌边缘具缝毛；箨叶宿存，三角形，正面具棕黑色小刺毛。枝条有2～3刺；小枝有叶6～8枚；叶鞘长2.5～5厘米，鞘口处有灰色易落之缝毛数条；叶舌截平头，有时先端有繸毛；叶片细长披针形，长6～20厘米，宽6～20毫米，基部急缩成1～3毫米长之叶柄，背面微有短毛，次脉4～7对，小横脉不显著，叶缘粗糙或一边近于平滑。小穗簇生，密集，基部有糠状鳞片，含4～12花，黄绿色或淡绿色；颖顶端尖锐，无毛，外稃卵形兼披针形，无毛；内稃，具2脊，鳞被3片，边缘有白色长纤毛；雄蕊6，花药长4毫米，花药隔之先端可呈小笔毫状；子房先端被刺毛，花柱1枚，柱头3枚，羽毛状。笋期5～6月。花期8～12月。 通常栽培于向阳山坡或河流沿岸之较高处。 分布广东、广西、贵州、四川等地。

【功用主治】
《岭南采药录》："治竹木刺入肉：竻竹笋、酒糟、车前子、盐，同捣敷患处。"
