性质:结晶。熔点254~256℃。旋光度-79.9°(c=1.35,吡啶)。可从酵母菌(Sac-charomyces cerevisiae)。食物鸡油菌(Cantharellus cibarius)和麦角菌(Claviceps purpurea F.)中提取,它往往与麦角甾醇(ergosterol)同时存在于上述菌体中,并在含量上也少于麦角甾醇。可应用于化妆品添加剂。
