阆中白糖蒸馍
阆中白糖蒸馍是清代乾隆时，阆中回民哈公奎创制的一种名小食。它无中式馒头的碱涩味，也无西式面包的微酸味。1912年，获巴拿马国际博展会银质奖章。1990年，四川评出22种省级名小吃，保宁白糖蒸馍金榜题名。
民国15年修《阆中县志》载：“川中之麦皆花于夜，邑中之麦有独花于午者，故其面特佳。旧志云：面惟保宁最知名。取南麦碾细，用重箩筛之，白如干雪，蒸为馒首，名曰蒸馍。远行者携至千余里外，虽外霉内燥，去其霉，以水浸之，纵隔数月，蒸之移时，而色香如故。”
保宁白糖蒸馍与一般糖蒸馍不同的是不用纯碱，在适当气温下自然培植酵素，既保持了面的清香，又因发酵而自发产生了纯正曲香。所以，生产出来的蒸馍，色白如银，酥散绵软，鲜香回甜。过去加桂花计，还有淡淡桂花香味。熟食：香甜绵软，久嚼不粘；冷食：酥散甜爽。
保宁白糖蒸馍耐贮耐运，久存不坏。炎季可放十天，冬季可存半年而不变质走味。即使坚硬如石，只需少许水浸泡，回笼再蒸，色、香、味、型与新鲜蒸馍无异。所以，老人、小孩都很喜欢。有些人早餐、夜宵都以蒸馍为食.
