A series of water-soluble paper/plastics laminating adhesives were prepared using an EVA emulsion, terpene resin emulsions and cationic styrene-acrylamide copolymer, and effects of surfactants in the terpene resin emulsions on properties of the adhesives were investigated.

The paper introduced the situation of EVA emulsion applied in aspects of leather process,laminating adhesive and architectural materials etc,and modifying methods of EVA emulsion including blend,additive and copolymerization were summarized.

The Modified polyacrylic hydrosol can be prepared by useing EVA emulsion as modifier, whichhas the advantage of pure polyacrylic hydrosol and eliminate reverse effects.
