| 若羌县 位于中国新疆维吾尔自治区东南缘，塔里木盆地东缘 。东 与 甘肃省 、青海省交界、南 与 西藏自治区相邻 。面积20.23万平方千米。1990 年人口 2.7 万。民族有维吾尔、汉、蒙古等。古为婼羌、楼兰(鄯善)国地，是古丝绸之路上的重要驿站。清光绪二十四年(1898)设卡克里克县丞，属新平县。光绪二十八年改为婼羌县，1959年改若羌县。隶属巴音郭楞蒙古自治州。县境的东南、南部为阿尔金山和昆仑山，多雪峰。中部是山前短小河流形成的冲积平原。北部为塔克拉玛干沙漠，东北部为罗布泊盐碱地。属温带大陆性干旱气候 ，年均降水量仅20毫米，是中国最干旱的地区。经济以农为主，农产有小麦 、玉米 、荞麦 、棉花等 。畜牧业以饲养羊、牛、马为主。工业以生产石棉为主，还有电力、粮油和食品加工、轧花等 。名胜古迹有楼兰古城遗址 、米古兰古堡 、“雅丹”奇观、罗布泊。 |
