马拉号战列舰
1905年，自为世界上第一流的俄国海军在对马海战中惨败。大部分主力舰难逃被击沉或被日本海军俘获的命运，这使俄国降为第三流海军国。为了挽救优势，从1909年起，俄国开始大规模建造新式主力舰。第一批彼得罗巴甫洛夫斯克级战列舰战列舰于1914年全部完工，该级共建成4艘。彼得罗巴甫洛夫斯克级战列舰是由英国人指导设计，在总体布置上受意大利造船技术影响，尽管如此，彼得罗巴甫洛夫斯克级战列舰还是俄国自行建造的第一批无畏舰。“彼得罗巴甫洛夫斯克”号卫国战前改名为“马拉”(marat)号，编入波罗的海舰队。1941年9月23日，在卫国战争其间“马拉”号在咯琅施达(kronstadt)被德国空军容克ju87轰炸机投下的2000磅特制炸弹命中，被炸成两节截后沉没。
