在山西芮城县城北4公里古魏城城垣遗址内,中龙泉村北的高阜之上,坐落着一座四合院形的庙堂建筑,它与永乐宫、古魏城、五龙泉、万仙泉形成了一个天然的文物群。

庙后条山葱翠,古堞峥嵘;庙前泉涌成溪,林木苍郁,这便是供奉龙泉之神“广仁王”的庙宇——广仁王庙。又因五龙泉水从庙基前涌出的缘故,当地群众也俗称其为“五龙庙”。 五龙庙由正殿、戏台、厢房组成,四周有围墙,东南角辟有小门。正殿座北向南,为唐大和五年(831)建造,五开间四架椽进深三间,平面呈长方形,单檐歇山顶,柱头斗拱为五铺双抄偷心造,各种斗欹部的幽度极深,拱瓣棱角显明,内部搁架铺作斗拱硕大,叉手长壮,侏儒柱细短,构成极平缓的厦坡,只有五台山南禅寺可相比拟。殿内无柱,梁架全部露明。整个建筑结构简练,古朴雄浑,显示了唐代建筑风格。

虽然经过了千余年的风风雨雨和不断修葺,仍不失唐代风貌。与正殿相对的是坐南向北的清代戏楼,虽属清代建筑,但与正殿浑然一体,构成了一座完整的四合院形的庙堂建筑。 在五龙庙正殿墙上,嵌有唐碑两通。一为《广仁王龙泉记》,唐宪宗元和三年(808)所立,河东裴少微书,字体雄浑劲秀,详细地记载了县令于公凿引龙泉之水灌溉农田的事迹。文中引征西门豹引漳水治邺史事,以显于公治芮之功;另一碑为《龙泉记》,唐文宗大和六年(832)所立,记载了扩建修葺五龙庙始末。这两通碑对研究我国唐中叶水利发展史有一定的价值。
