性质:深蓝色晶体粉末,单斜晶系结构。密度4.260g/cm3。熔点1545℃。不溶于水,易溶于酸和碱中。溶于酸时不能生成四价离子,而生成正二价的钒氧离子。在干的氢气流中加热至赤热时被还原成三氧化二钒,也可被空气或硝酸氧化生成五氧化二钒,溶于碱中生成亚钒酸盐。可由碳、一氧化碳或草酸还原五氧化二钒制得。用作玻璃、陶瓷着色剂。
