With the MODIS data from 2001 to 2005,areas of the tidal flats in the coastal zone of Fujian Province in China are calculated utilizing the band ratio of MODIS 250 m resolution of visible and near infrared band to high tidal level and low tidal level,and the results are verified by the 30 m resolution Landsat-7/ETM+ satellite image of the Luoyuan Bay and the Fuqing Bay.
以2001~2005年MODIS数据为信息源,每年选取高潮位和低潮位两个时相的MODIS数据,根据滩涂对MODIS 250 m分辨率可见光和近红外探测波数的光谱反应特性,采用波段比值算法来监测福建省海岸带的滩涂面积,并对监测结果用罗源湾和福清湾30 m分辨率的Landsat-7/ETM+影像进行验证分析,结果表明,MODIS数据的观测时间与海洋高低潮位时刻比较接近,便于对滩涂资源的遥感监测。
