中国第一长洞——双河洞
双河溶洞位于贵州省绥阳县城东北面50公里处的桂花村，距历史名城遵义90公里，处于著名的宽阔水原始森林自然保护区的东部边缘，距黔北著名的绥阳温泉仅9公里。
该洞是座水洞、旱洞并存、结构复杂的巨大洞穴系统，到目前为止已探明有四层洞、五条地下河、22个洞口，总体呈网络状。洞深（相对高度）达240米左右，洞高一般在10米以上，最高60多米；洞内竖井众多，最深达75米，一般都达15-30米。洞内环境良好，空气中二氧化碳含量一般在350-400ppm，温度一般常年恒定在13-15摄氏度，湿度85-98%。
双河洞主要形成于白云岩及白云质灰岩地层中，地表沟深壁峭，山峦叠嶂，地貌景观壮丽，森林覆盖率大于60%，区内气候属于中亚热带湿润季风气候，小气候差异明显。
双河溶洞长度中国第一，但地形复杂，很多洞尚未开发。
1987年至今，贵州省山地资源研究、贵州省洞穴协会及日本、法国的专家们先后对该洞进行了5次考察，发现了石膏洞、卷曲石群等世界罕见的洞内景观。
