It was found that the 4-quinazolone in a-dichroine andβ-dichroine is responsible to their absorption,while the fluorescence relates to both of the 4-quinazolone and the substitute of its N_3 position.

Seventeen novel diheterocyclic compounds containing 1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine and 1,2,4-triazole moieties were designed and synthesized by using 2-mercapto-5,7-dimethyl-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]- pyrimidine as starting materials.
