To ascertain the feasibility of the quick formation of the granules in the EGSB reactor seeded with digestion sludge and the possibility of the quick startup of the other EGSB reactors,the primary and the secondary start-up operations of the EGSB reactor were investigated.

The secondary start-up,using methanol as electron donor and nitrite as electron acceptor,was completed within 46 days in the USB reactor,which was inoculated nitrite denitrifying granular sludge that had been deposited under 0~4 ℃ for two months.
接种0~4℃贮存2个月亚硝酸盐反硝化颗粒污泥,以甲醇为电子供体、亚硝酸盐为电子受体在USB(上流式污泥床)反应器内进行二次启动。
