用机械浆造纸过程中，脂肪酶用于树脂障碍控制可提高纸张强度，减少纸病，缩短停机时间并减少纸毯及辊子的清洗次数，从而改善纸品质量并提高生产经济效益。
淀粉改性
淀粉酶使得纸厂可在现场对原淀粉进行改性用于表面涂布施胶，较直接购买商品变性淀粉，这样更为经济实用。
