性质:20世纪60年代以来,发现许多含金属-金属多重键的化合物。若按金属-金属原子组成的净的成键轨道上电子数的一半来计算键级,则最高可达4,其中包括一个σ、两个π和一个δ键。能形成四重键的化合物包括ⅦB族的Tc(Ⅲ)、Re(Ⅲ)和ⅥB族的Cr(Ⅱ)、Mo(Ⅱ)、W(Ⅱ)的双核化合物。它们均为d4电子组态,因此,金属-金属四重键的电子构型为σ2π4δ2。其他还有键级为3.5、3和2的化合物。下表列举了键级在3以上的金属-金属多重键。
