工业生产的含铁99.50~99.90%的纯铁。主要有阿姆科(Armco)铁、电解铁和羰基铁,用于科学实验、粉末冶金、电磁工业和化工催化剂等。阿姆科铁是在炼钢炉中精炼而成;电解铁通过水溶液电解制得;羰基铁通过Fe(CO)5的分解制得。工业纯铁经过进一步真空处理,纯度可达99.98%或更高(见低碳电工钢和阿姆科铁)。
