由曲线可以查出选煤过程中所能达到的理论工艺指标。例如,根据要求的灰分,从曲线上可查出精煤的理论产率及与之相应的分选比重。煤炭可选性难易,可用原煤在分选比重±0.1范围内邻近比重物的多少 (±0.1%)来划分。中国煤炭可选性分类标准见表。
