性质:又称香荚兰酸。白色无臭针晶。熔点210℃。可升华(未分解)。溶于860份水中,易溶于乙醇,可溶于乙醚。其盐易溶于水。存在于藏药红花绿绒蒿(Meconopsis punicea Maxim. ),玄参科婆婆纳属植物带虫瘿(Veronica peregrina Linn. )的全草,菊科火绒草属植物火绒草(Leontopodium leontopodioides Beauv)的全草,马兜铃科植物绵毛马兜铃(Aristolochia mollissima Hance)的茎、叶等植物中。可由香草素(香草醛)氧化制得。本品具有抗细菌和真菌作用。
