【来源】
为唇形科植物薄荷或家薄荷的鲜茎叶经蒸馏而得的芳香油。植物形态详"薄荷"条。
【药材】
为无色至淡黄色或绿黄色的油状液体，具有纯馥的薄荷香气，带辛辣而清凉，有强烈的窜透性。在温度较低时有大量的无色晶体析出。存放日久则色渐变深，质渐变粘。易溶于水，与醇、醚、氧仿等均能任意混合。比重(25℃)0.899～0.909。

【功用主治】
