专性厌氧,在有氧的情况下不能生长,必须在无游离氧环境中才能生长的细菌。目前已知厌氧菌分为31个属,245个种和亚种,大致可分为革兰阳性芽胞杆菌、革兰阳性无芽胞杆菌、革兰阴性无芽胞杆菌和球菌(包括革兰阳性和阴性)四大类。凡临床上有炎症、脓疡或组织坏死等表现、分泌物有臭味者,多呈慢性顽固的感染过程,常用抗生素治疗无效,渗出物涂片有细菌而常规培养阴性者,均应考虑可能为厌氧菌感染,进行厌氧培养检查,以求确诊。
