性质:是以四氟化铀为原料工业生产金属铀的一种主要方法。以高纯金属钙作还原剂,在高温下将四氟化铀还原为金属铀。这是一个强放热反应,反应最高温度可达2000℃左右。金属铀和氟化钙渣均熔化呈液态,并借助于两者的密度差而澄清分层,金属铀聚集于熔融氟化钙渣的下方。钙热还原可以在敞开式的还原竖炉中进行,以耐热的石墨作炉衬。
