性质:以四氟化铀为原料工业生产金属铀的一种主要方法。以金属镁作还原剂,将四氟化铀在高温下不定还原为金属铀。镁热还原必须在密闭的还原反应弹中进行。反应弹材质是软钢,炉衬可以是氟化镁渣、电熔融白云石或石墨。必须将四氟化铀和镁屑的混合物料预热到680~760℃以引发反应。反应为放热反应,在反应温度下,金属铀和氟化镁渣均熔化呈液态,并借助于两者的密度差而澄清分层,金属铀聚集反应弹底部。
