枣 Ziziphus jujuba;jujube 鼠李科枣属落叶乔木。中国最古老的栽培果树之一。由中国传到欧洲、北美、日本及中东。仅中国作为果树栽培,分布在北纬23°~42°之间,以河北、山东、河南、山西、陕西等省最多。枣树根系由行根和定根组成。枝条呈之字形弯曲,节部有针刺,分发育枝(枣头)、结果母枝(枣股)和脱落性枝(结果枝)3种类型。叶光滑,呈长圆卵形或卵状披针形。花小单生或呈聚伞花序,生于叶腋。核果,圆、长圆、卵形、梨形或扁圆形、果皮深红或紫红色。喜光,耐旱、热,也耐寒和抗盐碱。品种丰富,中国约有500个以上。按果形和生长特性分为长枣、铃枣、小枣和葫芦枣等4种;按地理分布又分北枣和南枣。枣树用分株和嫁接繁殖。注意合理整形修剪,及时更新树冠。主要病虫害有:枣疯病、枣锈病;枣粘虫、枣尺蠖、红蜘蛛、桃小食心虫、刺蛾、枣壁虱、龟蜡蚧等。枣含糖多,并含蛋白质、脂肪、矿物质、维生素(以VC丰富)等。可鲜食或制红枣、黑枣、蜜枣、酥枣、枣泥、枣酒、枣醋等。干枣为补品,酸枣仁可入药,枣花为蜜源;枣木可供雕刻作家具。
