性质:无色针状结晶。熔点124-125℃,沸点305℃(9.5989kPa),166-167℃(1.6kPa),相对密度1.0281,折射率1.6264(17℃)。不溶于水,微溶于乙醇,可溶于醚和苯。能随水蒸气挥发。

制备方法:由安息香(即二苯基羟基乙酮或称苯偶姻,[579-44-2])在锌汞齐存在下脱水而得。先制备锌汞齐,将其加入乙醇及安息香中,然后在搅拌下滴加盐酸,保持温度15℃。2h加完,再继续搅拌2h,加入冷水,然后滤出沉淀,用热乙醇提取,冷却,结晶,再用乙醇重结晶而得成品。

用途:有机合成原料,可制二苯乙炔,作闪烁试剂,也用于荧光增白剂及染料的合成。
