| 肉桂 Cinnamomum cassia 樟科樟属的一种。原产中国，福建、广东、广西、云南等省区有栽培，其中尤以广西为多。常绿乔木。有特殊的香气。叶互生或近对生，长圆形至近披针形，上面亮绿色，无毛，下面苍白色，密被细微柔毛，叶柄粗壮，密被微柔毛。圆锥花序腋生或近顶生，具总梗，三级分枝，分枝末端为3花的聚伞花序。花白色，花被两面密被毛；能育雄蕊9，排成3轮，花药4室，退化雄蕊3，位于最内轮。子房近球形，果椭圆形，成熟时紫黑色；果托浅杯状，边缘有浅齿。肉桂的枝、叶、果实、花梗可提炼桂油，桂油为合成桂皮酸等重要香料及化妆品的原料，亦供巧克力及香烟配料，药用作矫臭剂、驱风剂、刺激性芳香剂等，并有防腐作用。
